Stadium Nachos

After my grandfather’s funeral, my sister and I went to a St. Louis Cardinals game and we shared the most tasty tatchos. You know, tater-tot nachos. They were delicious and photographed beautifully in front of the Busch Stadium landscape. It was then the idea for the Stadium Nachos instagram page was born.

More tasty nacho content was added when I found myself going to California a lot for work. During those trips I would often tack on a weekend to visit friends who had moved out there over the years. Even though they were different friends in different cities, we often found ourselves at the baseball games.

The pandemic changed access to nachos from stadiums, so the page needed to pivot. You could still get gas station burritos or make your own tacos and nachos. Simple joys like that became the content until slowly, we were allowed back in restaurants and then finally stadiums again. But the focus was forever changed and now nachos, tacos, and burritos from wherever are featured whenever they inspire me.

Yet, there’s still something so appealing about eating melty warm gooey cheese melted over chips and topped with basic or imaginative ingredients, all while watching a sporting event. Sometimes, it’s better than actually watching the game itself.
